Event Information

The small amoeba Physarum polycephalum is known by many nicknames: Blob, Witch's Butter, Slime Mold, ... In four workshop sessions, we will delve deeper into this fascinating organism. We will cultivate it and create hybrid bioelectronic circuits from it. The moist, bright yellow organism consists of branched threads that can be used as wires and are comparable to hardware components such as oscillators or radio transmitters.

In the second, third, and fourth sessions, we will develop bioelectronic circuits and experiment with them. At the end of the workshop, each participant will be able to take home a functioning hybrid bioelectronic circuit.
